J Dilla has always been among my top few favorite hip hop producers of all time. He left us with an amazing library of tracks after he passed away a few years ago. Just discovered some great soul music, Menahan Street Band. Production is amazing. Musicianship is so authentic to the classic soul days, but with some new worldly influences. Probably has a lot to do with their supergroup status, with musicians from Antibalas and Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings.
